Mililani High School Class of 1992 Aubrey Pucan's MHS Alumni |
From: MHSalumni1992@aol.com
Aloha Everyone! Sheesh, where do I begin? Over a year of planning, endless meetings, budgeting, ordering and shopping, mild headaches, big headaches, complaints, questions, and concerns finally ended with thank yous, nice to see yous, I had a great time, we had a great time, can't wait for our 15th . . . . . and it all seems worth it now. It was great to see everyone, to hear that they've been good, successful, married, with children. Faces matured, personalities changed, but most of all, friendships remembered. I would like to thank all of you who attended, you ultimately made it happened. I hope you all had a great time, and hope to see you all soon. To those who supported us, but could not make it, we hope to see you at out 15th? 20th? To those who traveled from afar and their guests . . .I tried hard to make it worth the plane ride! Special Mahalo to Ryan Ozawa, Rene Kaji, Liane Kuraoka, Reid Okimoto, Cary (Kip) Kihara, Heather Crislip, Lyllis Manzano, and Malia Kidani. Rochelle, Claudine, and Angel, thanks for all your hard work at the table and helping me from going nuts on Friday! Hannah, Aaron, Kim, and goofy Colin, for helping on Sunday! To our generous sponsors . . . .Mahalo, Mahalo, Mahalo! last but not least .. .. my sisters, Row & Rose .. .. for their listening ears and undying support. They said I couldn't please everyone, and more times than none I tried. When I finally listened, I realized that I did all of it beccause I wanted to see my old friends and remember what high school was all about; making friends, keeping friends, and remembering who your true friends are; they were those who took the time to come up to me and say thank you for all your hard work, there were many of those, and it's why I call it a success. Many of you took pictures at the events, please send me copies (at my cost of course!) if you would like to post them on a website . . . .Ryan, you available? =) I want to hear your comments Tigers, of our 10 year reunion, and suggestions for our 15th or 20th. Keep in touch! Aloha, Aubrey From: MHSalumni1992@aol.com
Aloha Tigers! Wow, it's almost here! A few more weeks and we get to see each other again! Look forward to seeing all of you! Many of you RSVPed but no payments have been received. I need to pay the final balance for each event by July 8th. If you have RSVPed but did not send your payment in, please do so by July 5th, otherwise, we will assume that you will not be attending. Per my e-mail on June 7th, event tickets and all the details (directions, attire, reminders, etc.) will be sent out on July 1st, unless you made other arrangements with me to send it out earlier. So please, be sure to be on a look out for them as you will need to present them before entering. If you do not receive them by July 9th, please notify me immediately. Final event change . . . .'Ohana Day will be at Central Regional Park, the new park located in Waipio Gentry, along Kamehameha Hwy. We will have a banner up set up at the site, so you can't miss us! Event time also has been changed to 11:30am. Waterplay, pinata, volleyball, ono food/drinks, kiddie goodie bags and giveaways are still in effect! See you soon! Aubrey From: MHSalumni1992@aol.com
Aloha Everyone! From day one, I've asked for help and support from all of you especially with spreading the word about our reunion. "Give them my number", "give them the address", or "share the details with them". If they are interested they'll contact me. Reunion updates have been put up on a banner, printed in the newspapers, noted on the jjw and leahi sites, and even advertised on KCCN and KQMQ. I have been trying my best to get the word out and know all of you have been too. Our list started with 75 e-mail addresses and 10 mailing addresses, many of them incorrect or no longer available. MHS admin, was unable to provide an address list, not even a graduation list because of security purposes. I had to create my list by going through the yearbook and listing everyone's names down. My main resource was the jjw site, the leahi site and those who forwarded my first e-mail to everyone. In a year and a half we now have 200 e-mail and/or mailing addresses. Our graduating class was 450+ and so you do the math on how many have not been contacted. It's because we don't have their info or it's not current. With the help of the web sites, our list is periodically updated and maintained. I've received e-mails notifying me that alumni still doesn't know about the reunion or he/she didn't receive an invitation, etc. This is where I ask for help again. Get their current info, forward it to me, and they will receive an invitation same day as I get their info (via e-mail, snail mail will take 2 days). Other suggestions: give them my number, give them the address, and share the details with them. Please understand that coordinating this reunion is not my full time job and done during most of my free time which is at this hour - Sunday, 1:30 am. I do however check this address daily and reply to every mail within a day. Aubrey J.B.Pucan From: MHSalumni1992@aol.com
Aloha! Your entry passes to the events you paid for will be in the mail by July 1st. You will need these passes for sign in and entry. Should you NOT receive your passes by July 8th, please notify us immediately. Should you need your passes earlier, please contact me so we can make arrangements for us to send it earlier. Mahalo! Aloha! The following changes have been made: Stag nite will now be held at Eastside Grill located in Puck's Alley along University Ave, right across Varsity Theatres. Eastside Grill is well known for their ONO food and excellent service. It's a casual, sportsbar type atmosphere, there's a stage for our band(s) and a dance floor for dancing! Cost still $25.00. The reason for the change was due to a $425 "stage fee" that Pipeline was going to charge us if any bands were to play at our function. We already have one band confirmed to play and one still tenative. The stage fee was not projected in our cost and is more than what the bands charge. Ohana Day may be moved to Central Regional Park, the newly bulit park in Waipio Gentry OR Mililani District Park. Malia or I will check out the site area at CRP to make sure there is enough shade, since the trees have not been fully grown yet. We are also awaiting someone to return our call regarding the park fees. Cost still $15/adults and $8/child over the age of 5 years old. The reason for the change is due to our group size and unavailability of a preferred site at Ala Moana Beach Park. We have been on the waiting list for a site that will allow water usage and close to the beach. The only sites available had no water usage, shade, and too far from the beach and restroom. If we do not hear back for Ala Moana by the 14th, we will have to move the location. We have a fairly good size for our picnic (as of today, 35 adults and 12 children) , however not enough to go ahead with our original plans. The jumping playhouse, cotton candy, magic show, and balloon man have been cancelled. Ono food and beverages will still be served. There will be 3 large inflatable pools (large enough for adults, too!), a slip & slide, and volleyball net set up. Kids will enjoy swimming, a pinata, and an awesome goodie bag! Should more RSVPs that include children be received, we will rent the jumper, cotton candy, and book the magician/balloon man again--depending if they are still available for 21st. If you have any suggestions for Ohana Day, we'd sure like to hear them! The Boat Cruise is still on! We made the minimum, so no changes have been made to this event! We apologize for any inconvenience, but hope you still look forward to good times with great friends! Aubrey J.B. Pucan From: MHSalumni1992@aol.com
Aloha! Our reunion weekend is almost here! We need some volunteers, 3 people for stag nite to help at the sign in table. And 3 more for 'Ohana day to also help at the sign in table. Your kokua will be greatly appreciated. If you're interested, please forward an e-mail =) Aubrey J.B.Pucan From: MHSalumni1992@aol.com
Aloha! I had a family member of one of our classmates who sent an e-mail notifying us that he had passed away. Besides him, I know of one more classmate that also had passed. Please let us know if you know of any of our other classmates who has departed us so that we can remember them during our reunion program and dedicate a special page in our Class Profile book . . . .(more details about this will be e-mailed later) Thank you! Aubrey J.B.Pucan From: MHSalumni1992@aol.com
Aloha Tigers! The invitations were sent on April 15th, rather than the 11th--I had work issues which delayed me from getting them out on time. I do apologize! We are now working on prize donations . . . . . We have a small list of businesses that we are sending out solicitaion letters to and would like to send more out. Those of you who know any businesses that can help with our prize donations, we'd like to encourage you to forward the company name so that we can mail them a letter, kindly asking for their support. Your name will not be mentioned of course. Further, if you work in a company that has promotional items or services they can donate and/or offer, we would greatly appreciate their support as well. Take this opportunity to practice some networking as well as taking advantage of free advertisement =) Please let me know if you have any questions! Aubrey J.B. Pucan From: MHSalumni1992@aol.com
Aloha Tigers! What an April's fools this has been. . . . . While folding the invitations yesterday, my roommate saw a typo in the invitations . . . .of course I thought he was joking, but realized it was no joke. I corrected it and reprinted them, but I'm off to Kona tomorrow and will return on Thursday. They were supposed to be sent today, but looks like it's gonna be Friday the 5th. Thanks for your understanding! Aloha, Aubrey J.B.Pucan |
